Is ShareAnalysis available on computers, tablets and smart phones?

Yes. You can access ShareAnalysis on any computer, tablet or smart phone.

On your computer, tablet or phone, open your browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc) and go to www.shareanalysis.com/login.

For quick access on your mobile device, save ShareAnalysis to your home screen.

Which web browsers are supported by ShareAnalysis?

ShareAnalysis is available on every modern web browser. For the best experience we recommend using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.

What is ‘Keep me logged in on this device’?

If you access ShareAnalysis on the same computer or device each day, the ‘Keep me logged’ option at https://www.shareanalysis.com/login is a really handy time-saving feature.

Check the ‘Keep me logged in on this device’ box and the next time you open ShareAnalysis.com you’ll automatically be logged into ShareAnalysis.

For more tips on logging in click here.

I keep getting logged out. Why?

ShareAnalysis’s memberships are single-use, non-exclusive and non-transferable. Your ShareAnalysis membership must not be used by any person other than you. This means you can be logged into ShareAnalysis on only one computer or device at any point in time. If you attempt to login to ShareAnalysis on another computer or tablet simultaneously, your previous session will end.

When you log in at shareanalysis.com you generate a ‘session’. This session checks that your membership is valid, retrieves your filter preferences and portfolios, and grants you access to the application. After 60 minutes of inactivity, ShareAnalysis will automatically end your session and log you out of the application. Clicking ‘Keep me logged in on this device’ will help avoid this problem.

Why am I asked to ‘Click this option so ShareAnalysis will run faster’?

By default your web browser allocates a small amount of space on your device for websites to store information.

ShareAnalysis uses thousands of pieces of financial data and creates image-rich visuals, which is quite a bit of information to download.

Clicking the option for ShareAnalysis to run faster allows your web browser to store a little extra data, making the program load quicker and lowering the amount of information your browser needs to download on subsequent visits.

Can I print the information displayed in ShareAnalysis?

Yes. Go to the ‘File’ menu in your browser and select ‘Print’. ShareAnalysis will optimise the page so that its produces a print-friendly version.

If you are viewing a lot of information (such as a large number of stocks on the Stock List view) your browser may print over a large number of pages. We recommend using ShareAnalysis’s Filter to narrow reduce the Stock List before printing.

Can I export the information in ShareAnalysis to a spreadsheet?

The license agreement that ShareAnalysis has with our data provider, FactSet, does not allow for exporting data to a spreadsheet. The extra cost of adding this functionality would make the membership price for ShareAnalysis prohibitively expensive.

How do I increase the text size?

Most web browsers site allow you to zoom in to make the text larger. The option to do this can be found under the ’View’ Menu in you web browser or by holding in the Control key on your PC (Command key if you are using a Mac) and pressing the Plus (+) key. Each time you press the plus key your browser will zoom in. This zoom will remain when looking at other websites, you may wish to zoom out again (Control/Command and the minus (-) key) before going to another web page.

What is my internet cache and how do I clear it?

Web browsers use cache (also called “temporary internet files”) to store some elements of web pages you have visited in the past. Your web cache reduces the amount of information that needs to be downloaded each time you visit a website and can also help web pages load faster.

If Share Analysis releases a version update, your internet browser may not always recognise the new version, which can cause an issue when you try to log in.

Clearing your cache and then refreshing the web page forces your browser to display the most up-to-date version of ShareAnalysis’s website.

Instructions on how to clear your cache can be found below. Your web browser must be open.
